Howdy All! It's been a while since I have posted to this blog. I've been spending a LOT of time designing new transitions, bumpers, intros, and graphics for the TV show. I'm planning on a February 2009 return to local access television in Jefferson City and Columbia, Missouri. It's going to take a TON of work, but I think we will get it done.
The hardest part of getting the show back on the road is getting in the proper mindset. At first, it was like pulling teeth. I wrote a prior blog post about this, you might want to go back and read it. But now after having shot 3 short videos, I'm starting to get back into the groove and "feel" normal on camera. The key is being yourself, not "putting on" and acting like someone you admire who is on TV. The only thing I do different on TV is amplify a few of my traits to make the show more "watchable". It's hard to do that, though, because the minute you become "un-natural", you are toast. It's a thin line.
I did a couple of interesting shoots. One was a short message to my family members who don't understand what Twitter is all about, and why I keep inviting them to join in on the fun. I did another video on Facebook, to say "hello" to all of my old highschool friends and let them know how I am doing. I had so many old friends that I connected with again, it would have taken FOREVER to write everyone! So that gave birth to the idea of a bulk video message, and it went quite well. You can watch the Facebook video here. I'll make a separate post for the Twitter video next. In the meantime, check in at the CZTV headquarters often to find out when I will have new material on. I've got some GREAT stuff planned for 2009!
