Social Media Marketing Strategy - SMO 2.0 is Here!

The heat is on... business owners and professionals are now taking heed to the groundswell of social media use by their prospective clients and customers, and they are waking up to the potential that social media marketing presents.

The funny thing is, business professionals don't even know where to start. All they know is that they are hearing about website communities like Twitter on the news each and every day. It can be a seemingly daunting task. Where in the world do you begin? Which sites are best for using for marketing purposes? How do you participate in social media communities without coming across as a crass advertiser?

Many professionals and entrepreneurs jump in head-first and make fatal mistakes in their effort to make a presence for their brand or company. It's a tricky business indeed. So tricky, that we now see myriads of consultants, research analysts, marketing professionals, and strategists that write guides and provide training to help their clients get started on the right foot without potentially damaging their social media reputation.

That's where the SMO 2.0 guide comes in. For about 6 months, I have been testing and developing a guide that shows businesses and professionals how to set up a social media marketing strategy with a simple, step-by-step process that gives them the best possible results, but maximizing their impact without jeapordizing themselves as blatant marketers. Its all about the balance between making 1-to-1 relationships and giving a strong message about your brand at the same time. Tricky, but possible!

I recommend the development of a strong social media marketing strategy for every serious salesperson, business professional, business owner, or organizational leader. Now is the time to set your stake and claim your portion of the boom in social media use. With a weak economy and economic crisis looming, it is critical to use every possible tool to your advantage to stay on top of your market.

I am making plans right now to assist several clients in Jefferson City, Columbia, Springfield, St. Louis, and Kansas City Missouri. I have been holding off as I finish the deveopment of the Social Media Optimization guide and the "Twitter Turbo" seminar guide. But now that these projects are nearing completion, I will be able to say "yes" to those calling and asking for help with their social media marketing strategy.

This promises to be an exciting, fun-filled journey, and I look forward to the relationships that I will build with people along the way!
